POSITION : Associate Business Development Manager
Role Description:
The role is responsible for managing and developing strong relationships with customers across the APAC region, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction while supporting the achievement of the Company's business objectives. The incumbent will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, managing enquiries, resolving issues, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and identifying opportunities to strengthen customer engagement and business growth. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Scopes/Responsibilities:
Lead the activities to renew contracts with non-tacit renewal clause that require notification of the renewal rate and simple standard addendum.
Tacit renewals with predefined renewal terms / rules, that require notification and simple "quotation" for customer internal compliance.
Address queries leading to renewals.
Overage usage report at the time of contract renewal.
Update in SFDC on non-tacit renewal agree rate.
Own the Change Order process ie coordinate with Customer, Pre-Sales/Professional Services on Change Order.
Collaborate with BDM / Legal on Novation and Amendment that are non-ACV.
Manage customers that require upgrade to the latest version to take advantage of new features.
Working closely with the Customer Success Advocates on upgrade requirements as required.
Point of contact for all existing accounts that are not allocated to a BDM.
Collaborate with TS on managing customer SLAs for accounts not managed by the BDMs.
Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, webinars, events, and client solicitations.
Work collaboratively with all Esker departments to provide high levels of customer satisfaction.
Identify opportunities with accounts assigned to the BDMA and introduce sales where there is a need for upsell/cross sell.
Pipeline generating activities to be included within bonus/KPIs.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills, and competencies:
•Bachelor’s Degree ideally in Business or a related field.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a B2B.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong proficiency in English. Additional language skills such as Chinese, Cantonese are advantageous.
•Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and sound judgment with a high level of perceptual awareness.
•Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to manage discussions effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
•Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to make well-informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
•Good pipeline management, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
•Basic knowledge of employment or commercial law is an advantage but not mandatory.
•Knowledge of Salesforce and CRM systems is a plus.
•Strong interpersonal and social skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
•Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team player, fostering positive working relationships across APAC regional teams.
•Experience in managing and supporting B2B customers, preferably across Asia and/or ANZ markets.
•Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
